ATHA NEWSLETTER ARTICLES

The current issue of ATHA NEWSLETTER (April/May 2010) contains articles by Region 9 rug hookers:

WOOL WITH HOPE, a wonderful 5-page article about an awareness rug devoted to the issue of Disappearance, written by Lona Gabree and Kristen Slesar, Harahan, LA
Bea Brock's (Kerrville, TX) second installment of her dyeing lessons: MARBLEIZING--NO DYE NEEDED
Carrie Martin's (Covington, LA) second installment of how to hook and dye a wide-cut shaded fruit rug

There was a "first" in this issue of the NEWSLETTER, also--a breathtaking two-page color photo of dyed wool hanging from trees in a beautiful spring garden. I have heard many comments about it from rug hookers I know.

If you are missing out on the beautiful photos, and instructive articles in the updated 60-page full-color ATHA NEWSLETTER, which is mailed to members 6 times annually, go to the ATHA website, www.atharugs.com, click on "How to Join", and you can join online using paypal, or download a membership form to be mailed in. Back issues of the NEWSLETTER can be ordered by ATHA members from Membership Chairman Joan Cahill for $5 each, includes postage.

And don't forget, that the NEWSLETTER is totally member-driven, and send your articles and rug photos to editor Judy Long, athanews@peoplescom.net.
